Forgotten Sketchbooks
a blank page
simple but plain
pencil marks added
but life is not perfect
mistakes are made
i’m not perfect
you can try to erase them
brush off the eraser residue
but light marks will stay
no one can notice them
only you can see them
an outline is formed
a direction made
you can make changes
form the page to be
what you want
a tedious task
but with enough dedication
it’s possible
you spend a while to question
the direction you want to go
the colours
or leaving the page black and white
if you chose the wrong colours
the page will be ruined
or
the colours will make it shine
most artist aren’t proud of their work
at least i’m not
but everyone tells them how talented they are
most only see the finished project
but a few stick around long enough
to learn about every erased pencil mark
