You said you would overcome; but it was too almighty
You had your last intake of breath
You had your last thoughts
You had your last petite tears
You had your last smile, full of sorrow
You said your spirit will be at rest now
You said you would be happier
You said you would always care
…You said that in your hospital bed
You had been put to rest
You had been freed of the monster called cancer
Your fight was over
You had begun your rest
