Easier To (Lie)
It's easier to hate someone for who you think they are then to love someone for who they know they are
It's easier to take another drag of a cigarette then to go home and face your parents' disapproving eyes,
It's easier to cry for nothing then to smile with true happiness,
It's easier to insist you're right then to admit you're wrong,
It's easier to drink away your grief then to turn it into motivation for redemption,
It's easier to daydream then to face the cold hard truth of reality,
It's easier to follow someone with blind loyalty then to fight for your own cause,
It's easier to hold onto everything familiar then to let in anything new,
It's easier to label everything as either 'right' or 'wrong' then to admit that there's always gray area that's hard to account for.
