In Deep Waters MAG
Let me in, let me in. Don't make
me climb
over the fragile fences you've set
around you.
Instead of feeling truly forgotten, I
feel alive.
That broken-hearted remedy you knew
so well,
ingesting stained-glass words and
decaying honeysuckle,
seems to have worked its magic.
Let me bring you jar after jar of
moonbeams to satiate your appetite.
I hear they are quite fresh this time of
year and sell for a fair price.
Or would you rather dine on fine China, conquering 'til noon?
I shall take up my shield and sword for you and you alone, my dear.
Let's take a walk to the countryside and
get lost
within the warm embraces of the sun
we will burn away.
Forget all our troubles and sleep deeply
in the shallows.
Smile in that way you do, I shall laugh 'til we fade away
into the flow of that river.
That deep-flowing river.
