Broken Song
I have loved and I have lost but it was worth the pain.
Some may criticize me while others call me insane.
But my reasons still stand as my own
So I shall reap what my life has sewn.
Now the hours drag on, to seemingly no end,
While I merely search for comfort from an old friend.
To your surprise, I am rather nice.
But my eye’s have a stare that is as cold as ice.
I wish you knew that I am not cruel
Though your insults hurt me like a kick from a mule.
You are the ones who are acting inhumane,
So I cry alone at night knowing my tears are in vain.
So why do you treat me like I have done wrong?
While my heart sings its broken sad song.
Will you take back all the painful names?
Or are we stuck playing your vile mind games...
We can fight back but now is not the right time,
because I know that there is still aways to climb...
While I have vowed “to never deliver harm,”
Your constantly trying to twist my arm.
So I snapped and broke you and your faith,
Now all that remains is your tortured wraith.
I know what I did was not the right thing,
But now I’m free and my soul can peacefully sing.
