Scars Are Meant to Mend
I could not have lived long, without her life,
If I were alone, I would fill with strife.
Calming and wondrous her fair black hair be,
Tranquil waves on a serene blue sea.
They say words of love are mostly untrue,
Yet when she does speak, I see things right through.
I think, I ponder, I wander afar,
And know our love is a love without par.
I’d look over hill, I’d look over dale,
I’d go over mountains to tell my tale,
Our safe old love does not have an end,
The wounds of before are going to mend.
I know that this love was meant to be now,
So let me keep you from falling down.
