Caffeine and Concertos
I will drink espresso every morning
listening to you play the violin
may our love come without any warning
but be accepted when i touch your skin
I’ll be like someone in those books you read
if each morning you scratch out lovely songs
I’d swoon and give you all you’ll ever need
and do my best to right oncoming wrongs
so play me your music quick as you can
and watch as my hands let go of my mug
those tunes could make a fool of any man
the future lets me to use them as a drug
it will be a symphony of our own
When one day we stop feeling so alone
