Missing Her
A young girl of thirteen years,
With a relationship with her grandma that could not be broken,
Couldn’t grasp one of her biggest fears,
She gave her grandma a small, thoughtful token,
Of which was a small, silver, friendship ring,
As time passed the ring became too big for her finger,
And the girl would miss hearing her grandmother sing,
Though, she was not much of a singer,
Two months was what they had given her grandma to live,
The whole family was in shock and sad,
She had such a tendency to give,
They had no idea how things could end quite this bad,
My grandma has long since passed,
Though, the time never really goes by that fast.
