My Dog
My funny dog, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you frolick, romp and run,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the playful bun.
Let me compare you to a gentle gust
You are more silly, aesthetic and cute.
Sun’s heat toasts the blind frolics of August,
And summertime has the ascetic hoot.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your frenetic nose, tail and fur.
Thinking of your wagging tail fills my days.
My love for you is the sunny true fir.
Now I must away with a saddened heart,
Remember my bright words whilst we're apart.
