Daydreaming
I open my eyes and to my surprise
I am not yet awake but trapped in a daze
Between the blazing light and endless night
In this trance, I reluctantly remain
In the light people constantly fight
Words are thrown like a spear and are not spared
But followed by hellish caterwauling
Then a sorrowing silence fills the air
The moon rises creating sacred night
Small wings flutter, trailed by gleaming sparkles
Snorting smoke, rough scales and talons bellow
Disturbing the dark, not the intellect
A fantasy unveils before the mind
Leaving the remnants of reality
