Freedom lives in chains,
You are free they say,
To marry who we say you can.
You are free they say,
To think the way, you want,
If we say is appropriate.
You are free they say,
To go anywhere,
If we say that it is okay.
You are free, they say,
To be who you want,
If we decide it’s alright.
Freedom is delivered in a pretty bow,
With terms and conditions.
Freedom lives in chains,
A sweet lie,
Taught as truth.
