They say be like your siblings.
Be like your cousins.
Be like your friends.
But I just want to be me.
I want to do what’s best for me.
I know they want me to be successful.
But constantly being compared to another family
member or friend will only ruin my self of esteem.
They say, “Get out of the house! Go do something productive!”
All I want to do is just be a kid.
I know grades are important, but I want to be able to have some down time.
I always wondered what my purpose in life was.
I want to make them proud.
I want to be as great as my relatives and friends.
What is my purpose in life?
What has God destined for me?
I’m at a stage where I’m trying to figure out who I am and what I want to be when I grow up.
Inside, I am lost.
I feel like I am in a labyrinth or some kind of maze.
At every step I make, I hope I make the right turn and head in the right direction.
Doubt makes me feel like my stomach is in a knot and there is no way to untie it.
Hopefully, one day I will find myself.
And be confident and proud with every decision I will make.

"Doubt makes me feel like my stomach is in a knot and there is no way to untie it." That image really pops out to me. I understand the feeling of not knowing what your purpose in life is, but you end those questions with an optimistic outlook and I admire that. Keep up the good work!
