What Love Is
You love that one who gives you sparks up and down
The one who makes it feel like there are tiny electric pulses running through your veins
I’m not so ignorant
I am young and I do not claim to know what love feels like
But I am not so young
Nor so ignorant as to think there is a box love can be placed into
Pasted with a label and sealed up so tightly,
There’s no room for air
No room for change
For love is love,
And it cannot
And will not
Be denied
It will not bend to fit your definitions
As long as you have those sparks telling you,
I am happy
Why does it matter what gender they are?

I hope everyone knows it's okay to love who you love. As a part of the LGBT+ community, I think it's really important for young people to hear that and understand they are normal, healthy, and beautiful.
