I am a puppy

Sensitive.
Words hurt more than they should,
but I can’t help it.
A friend,
teacher,
Stranger, raises their tone of voice
and it stings.
Indecisive.
Will it be this,
or will it be that?
I can never make up my mind.
What if I choose wrong
and left with regret?
Loving.
At times I don’t show it,
but I try.
A day never goes by without it.
Sometimes it’s a one way street.
