Change
I want to talk about earth,
the simple place we call home,
more importantly
I want to talk about the pollution we pump into the water we drink
The air we breath,
greying of smoke
from burning plastics.
The acidic rain
the small children play in,
sticking their tongues out
and swallowing bacteria.
I want to talk about Sulfur, carbon, and the chlorine
eating at our ozone layer but we can’t find a better way to make what we want.
How climate change is occurring,
how the south got hit with three hurricanes and a earthquake within a few weeks
because of us.
I want to talk about the earth dying.
mother nature screaming in agony
as we humans slowly suffocate her
her beautiful creations choking on smog,
leaving her with no other choice
but to fight back with disastrous storms.
I want to talk about a better future,
with crystal clear skies,
blue seas,
green grass.
I want to talk about change.
