The Day It Rained
The day it rained
It poured vicariously down
Drenching the grass and the streets with its lust
I lay there , peering out the window
As gusts of wind blow through the county
As if ghosts of giants roam the streets
Streetlights flickering unable to keep alive
As the rain drags the lightness into a deep sovereign darkness
Sadness despair loneliness
All form into one rain drop as it hits my house
A sparkling sheet of depression deepens into the walls, the roof, the rooms
I lie there as it sweeps me into bed
Where I feel exhaust tiredness and cold
Consuming me
