a lingering battle tomorrow
One promise,
How long you plan to keep.
A drop of blood, a glass of wine,
A sharp blade of a knife.
One word,
How long I remember.
We pledged love-and-hate,
We exchanged bleak swears.
Feeling painless when your sword pierced my body.
One more step, have to glance back,
Your back tells me you are greatly distant.
One only wish that the wine tonight
can relieve the sorrow in the past.
Two people,
Who is to break the silence.
Back to back walking forward,
Who is to first turn back.
Wounded heavily by your sharp mournful look.
Who is reaching out to you, crying, asking,
How could you leave me.
Who is desolately lamenting,
Between the pale grey canopy and land.
In this world, there is so much
Gratitude, hate, and resentment,
all come from
willingness, betrayal, and love.
I’d use my life to change for a moment for me truly loved by you, like once before.
We promised not to leave, and I abandoned my home for it.
But the duty of protecting your own home is appealing. I cleaved the sharp blade.
But couldn’t chop off the heartburn.
I touch the sword once with my blood dripping down,
But I don’t feel anything except for missing.
Endless heart rending cries of appealing,
To exchange for only a light sigh and a late coming tear.
Barely caught a glimpse of a passing beauty in dreams.
Before we knew
A storch goes out and a hero becomes old.
Is it true that
you still cannot close your eyes at night.
If you see me in the dark,
I wish I looked young and pure as before in your dream.
Because my hair turned snow white now,
During one night, the night you chose your home not me.
When did your silky black hair turn grey and white.
The wind blows,
blows away your pure wings and soul.
The snow falls,
Falls to cover all memories about the admired one.
Flowers blooming in my palm,
Raucity of chants of tinkling fragrance.
Your duty as a general of my enemy kingdom,
Appeals to you at that night overflowing moonlight.
The steps you take to leave.
You asked me who buried
at my temple,
A familiar wintersweet,
Red like warm blood.
I want to know
in front of the window,
Who has tears in the eyes,
Waiting for me to show up one more,
to warm up a crystal glass wine.
The wine is like dripping blood.
With me recall the past.
I will see you in the battle field,
Tomorrow.

This poem is about a girl fell in love with the general of the kingdom that is the enemy of hers. When the two kingdoms are fighting each other, the general chose his nation in prior of his lover, so he left the girl. This makes the girl very sad, very as time passed she started to see the reality and decided to fight for her own kingdom, to fight for her home, even though she still misses her love and wants to be with him, and the general cannot forget about her completely. Nobody knows what's happening in the battle field the next day, so I want to stop the poem right there and gives my audience a open ending so the audience has a chance to imagine and design the end of this story themselves.
