Quarantine
you've got my heart on lockdown
choking on the same air I've been breathing all my life
and just when I think
it's finally safe to breathe again
you're laced with the oxygen like an airborne disease
you're the kind of virus that makes
blood boil and
heads hallucinate
you're the kind of flu that makes
people forget what it feels like
to live without you
but you and me,
we're quarantined
because I wouldn't want you
running through the veins
of somebody else.
