In an overheated room at midnight
We lay together in an overheated room
dark, empty, full of nostalgia
The ringing in my ears
Kept humming, like manic bees
A long horn was heard
Predators started their hunts
The rabbit shivered
Short tail, red eyes
"I wish I were a lesbian," you suddenly said
A spark of light came and died
The air pressure was low
The spinning in my head couldn't stop
I wished --
I wished I could stand still against the long shadow
Become an idiot, a narcissist, even a liar
Oh Babe, how I wished to be like them
How I hoped tomorrow was another life
