Downward Spiral
Our lives are spent with people
telling you
to not let yourself fall into the dreaded
downward spiral.
To not let yourself be engulfed by the negativity that
has planted itself in you like a parasite.
But the thing is,
once you've gotten to the end of the spiral,
you can look up,
seeing all that you've come through.
You no longer have to sit at the top,
waiting for a wind to push you down.
Because you have made it to the end.
No, not of your life or of your happiness,
but you have made it to the end of your suffering.
And you can either see it as death,
or of new beginnings.
And
I chose the latter.
