DAVE GROHL
When I gaze into my collection of Nirvana and Foo Fighters pictures,
one thing always stands out.
Your smile.
Not an evil smile, or a jealous one,
but one with true joy filled to the brim of your being.
Kurt said you could see souls,
through peoples eyes.
Yours must be happy.
When you drum,
or put life into your guitar,
your wild hair floats around you,
like a halo.
Your presence in positive,
always looking on the bright side of life.
You overcome darkness
You’ve been through a lot.
Even after Kurt,
your smiles still shone through.
You recognize Kurt,
but try not to dwell on the sad moments too much.
The music you wrote after him,
brings hope to many.
“Its times like these you learn to live again”, you said.
Life’s given you a lot of wild cards,
and you laid down your deck just right.
