Where i'm from
I am who I am because of where I grew up
In a up and down duplex surrounded by crowded buildings,
loud people,
Always enough to look at.
I learned to be adventurous on a farm,
Wandering the paths to the creek out back.
Camping at a small site, miles into woods
A sloping-straight road with nothing to see but trees
I learned how to kayak, falling into the shallow water
I learned to create a snow fort as tall as small trees
I learned from all my adventures
