"Narrative isn't always bright; but it has its purpose." --Matthew Mercer

What to write? What to write?
He  has no idea what to write.
Confusion and uncertainty
Cloud his mind
As he doesn’t know what to write.
But then, an idea pops in his head.
“If he doesn’t know what to write,
Then how did he get this far?”

This thought leads him to think.
Thinking about the necessity for thinking.
Because, in all honesty,
He hasn’t thought one bit about this.
And so far, he has almost a page completed.

He seems to me a literary god
Sitting amongst a pantheon of gods and goddesses
Breathing life into an otherwise chaotic piece of paper.

I don’t know why they laugh.
I'd really like to know.
What's so funny?
Did someone make a joke?
And if so, what was the joke?
Why can no one say anything?
I see their mouths moving
But no sound is coming out.
Hello? Hello? Hellooooo!?

What is this feeling?
This feeling that feels “bad.”
Is that a concept in his world?
All I know is that in my world,
There is nothing.
Only potential exists.
Whether or not it is used for”good” or “bad”
Is not up to us.

He looks confused.
Let me tell you.
There are others just like me.

Like those two in the corner of the table.
Their papers are allowing themselves to be filled in.
With what I have no idea.

Are they doing what you're doing?
Writing in this centered form?
Each line relating to the same concept?
He shakes his head.
Do you yourself not know?
He nods his head.
I understand.

He doesn't know how to continue.
Yet he is.
He now realizes that when writing,
He doesn't have to think.
Just write.

This piece is essentially my way of showing that often times, good writing doesn't always need to be planned. Just write.
