Stuck in between
This frigid room is so quiet,
Ticking noises of hands moving is all that can be heard.
Is this really happening?
I sit in the middle,
Streams of tears leaving their marks on my cheeks,
"Sign here", then the sound of pens scratching on the paper.
A tear hits the table, I look up to see the pools of tears welling up in their eyes,
Why are they doing this?
I close my eyes, trying to see what used to be,
Smiles, laughter, all memories of lies.
I open my eyes, last signature..
Before I can think the words slip out,
"Stop! Don't do this!"
But it is too late, it is already done.
I leave the room, and lose myself in spiteful tears.
Days go by and he is gone.
No way of knowing if he is alright.
He left.
He is gone.
Love is now lost,
Now nowhere to be found.
Stained floors pooled with tears,
Messy mind games manipulate me.
How could you?
Leaving my thoughts to wander free,
Believing only the worst of things,
The things you are now capable of.
Hurt, pain, unforgiving torture to the heart.
I can't forgive you for what you have done,
I can only remember,
Remember the good times that bring distressing tears to my eyes.
Now all I want to say,
Is goodbye.
