A Flame

Boy you're a flicker
a flicker that ignites a spark inside me
one that invades my mind and drives me insane
Boy you're a flame
a flame that blazes across the sea
one that roasts my blood and scortches my brain
Boy you're a fire
a fire igniting bodies who once were free
one that burns my soul and broiles my pain
Boy but now you're just an ember
an ember slowly sizzling but not what you used to be
one that no longer holds me down with it's chains.
