Angel
My closest friend, through thick and thin
An angel I hold to my heart
A lifetime of laughter, cooking disasters
Fairy magic, and hot glued fabric
Gave us a world of art
A land of dreams, and thought out schemes
A world for us to explore
From first crushes, to makeup brushes
Pliés and mirror’s, and what would appear
dancing across the floor
The door of ash, worn out laughs
A child deafened by fate
The world seemed wrong, a disheartening song
Your mask proved true, what I already knew
I feared I might be too late
Golden hair, damp with tears
I pulled you close, tight embrace
Striking blue eyes, forced smile’s, lies
hearts filled with terror, without error
Your monsters I wanted to chase
Rain beating down, a drumming sound
Needed words were not spoken
Salty tears she cries, cause inside her eyes
Oceans vast, hopes and dreams dashed
Shredded hearts left open
Mumbled words, almost not heard
Baring the burden of a secret storm
Prying hands, a treacherous man
Innocence stolen, heartstrings pullen
A beautiful babe left unborn
You say that you’re broken, worthless, unspoken
I wanted to scream and to cry out
I tell you you’re perfect, not close to worthless
Say that you’re loved, by a god from above
I tell you to speak up and shout
I shielded you from the devil's tune
Nothing about you was wrong
I’ve learned to hide the rumors and lies
To never forget, to always protect
My beautiful Angels song
