Losing one's self

What sweet bliss;
To lose one's self
Without knowledge
Of pain or regret,
With longing for
Death's sweet kiss.
What bitter torture;
To lose one's self
With such weight
Upon the mind,
Knowing the loss
Caused by choice.
What tranquility;
To lose one's self
Within the bounds
Of freedom's grasp,
Without a thought
To worry or distress.
And with these
To send regards
And lose one's self...
