Darkness Before Dawn
I bent over backwards,
Just trying to straighten up.
But I break you open again,
Well, Bottoms up.
Next day I find myself,
Lost and confused.
Abandoned an alley someplace,
Alone and bruised.
I look around for answers,
But your all I find.
I see the crimson stain,
And a memory comes to mind.
Horrified by it because,
You’re the one to blame.
I didn’t want to do it,
Now i’m burdened with this shame.
But why do I return,
And beg for your aid?
Its through your influence,
That the reaper’s price is paid.
But I drown out the world again,
With only you at my side.
And here we go again,
We’re going for a ride.
