Bright Side
Life has become a gift for me,
A smile: a regular happening,
A tear: never chastening;
Hope spread thin rises to the surface and blossoms;
Planting courage and strength
between my ribs,
In my heart.
But this,
This is only the beginning.
Soon,
Soon there will be a garden thriving within me;
Full of love,
joy,
and,
peace.
What inspired this piece was finding happiness after struggling with depression for so long. I found happiness withing myself. Peace. And though I still struggle sometimes, my garden is still thriving.
