The Jolliest of Days
As you look to your right, you see a drooping tree;
straighten it up.
As you look to your left, you see red and green spheres shattered;
fix ‘em up.
As you look up, you see a mistletoe;
time to kiss!
As you look down, you see scattered toys;
more cleaning to be done.
Under the heavy clouds, snow falls.
Under the roof, people are chattering.
Under the tree, presents lay scattered.
Under the lids, goodies and presents await.
Inside the cozy home, a fire burns.
Inside the fire, embers lick the wood to deliver a bright warmth.
Inside the oven, a roast cooks.
Inside their hearts, only love can be found.
On the jolliest of days, let your glee soar.
On the jolliest of days, let your worries slip away.
On the jolliest of days, don’t be afraid to wear the red suit and white beard.
On the jolliest of days, make their wishes come true.
Merry Christmas.
