She’s got daffodils and sunshine
Locked into her hair.
He calls her over, whispers softly,
About their darkly shadowed affair.
The wedding ring,
Don’t look so sharp.
Twisted around his wrist
Oh, the two loving birds
Wonder how they ended
Like this.
The tide drowned the baby,
Into the white sparkled pearls,
He watched his golden child,
While baiting with sharp words,
The wedding ring
Don’t look so sharp
Twisted around his baby’s neck
Oh, the two partners
Wonder how they got into this
Shipwreck.
