Paper Girl
Violins play whilst the frail paper girl sits on a bench
The London fog surrounds her
Her face an alarming shade of white
A sombre melody comes from the violins
Her mind is spinning from left to right to up to down
All the thoughts she has ever thought come together as one
They confront her and speak to her
They tell her to stop creating more dreams than she can fulfil
They tell her to chase the dreams she started with
The frail paper girl has a vivid imagination, full of hope, longing, love and loss
She sees more of what is behind her eyelids than she does of what’s in front
Piano’s sound now
This sombre melody tells the story of her life
She sighs a heavy sigh
She wonders if what she dreams of could ever be possible
She knows that this isn’t true because a lot of the time
frail paper girl dreams of impossible things
dreaming keeps her alive
Her brain is the only solid thing about her
Bursting at the seams with all the ideas and visions she has
Whilst the rest of her, is flimsy and non existent
Frail paper girl rises from her seat and floats in to the fog
And with that
the sombre melody stops
