One True Desire
A daughter of a horror story, with a facination of her own,
her fingers curl around steel blades,
molding to the handle, all too comforable with the feel.
A barely hidden desire to hold a life within her hands,
her blood begins to chill.
Her other hand traces a necklass made of stolen ribbon and safty pins,
a reminder of a darker side, more than just a petty thief.
Temptation to hit the streets, show off the murderess she so longs to be.
Her freak show nature runs in her veins, genetics taking it's toll.
The daughter of a horror story, desparete to become the image of their fears,
Her holy father's superior in every way.

I wrote this after writing a poem about what scares me for a school poetry slam. My mind was on my fears, and how else should I share them?
