The Beauty
Living in a mess, created by those around you,
You try to fight back, God knows you want to.
But bone by bone,
You fall to the floor
Limb by limb,
You knock on hell’s door.
You deserve to stand tall, no matter the season,
You deserve to breathe, no matter the reason.
But all above ground has now gone rotten,
The people themselves, your importance they've forgotten.
The skies went dark when you fell flat,
Flowers wouldn't grow in the place you sat.
You are the beauty, no one here can find,
No one sees the legacy you had to leave behind.
But if flowers ever grow again,
I’ll let everyone know that you live on.
Try your best to bring some colour
To a meaningless world where colour is gone.
