Late in the Night
When the sun goes down
the truth comes out.
I don’t know why,
but there seems to be
some sort of comfort
in the dark.
Maybe the stars shine brighter
than whatever you have to say
or maybe the hungry
silence of the night
needs to be filled,
and this is the only way
you can think of.
Whatever the reason,
you waited until now,
and any presence of happy or calm
is gone, replaced with an eerie
feeling of dread
because even though
the silence is filled,
we have an even bigger problem now.
