The Machine
New, fresh, clean,
The Machine is created.
No files are stored,
No programs installed.
Fast, strong, growing,
The Machine takes in data and fixes bugs.
Many files are created, edited, shared.
It’s capability is increased daily with new programs.
Useful, productive, powerful,
The Machine processes command after command.
Files are changed, moved, and deleted.
Many programs are used to carry out the tasks.
It creates new machines, helps them grow, expand,
leave.
Slow, weak, outdated,
The Machine struggles to keep up.
Files are missing, distorted, fragmented.
It is incompatible with newer programs,
is limited to the old.
Then, it dies.
