Tumble down the tunnel-
the world twists, colors bleed
through the fabric of consciousness
into a rainbow
broken into reflections
from the prism of forgotten memories
scattering in the mind’s canvas
and binding together
into chains of familiar thoughts,
melting in imagination’s fire,
then cooling into a
Dream
that drifts through the ocean,
creature of the brain
whose only remains
are the ripples of its waves
tickling the toes of its dreamer
on a broad lively beach
washed away
at a second glance.
