hope is the worst thing, the cruelest thing
it builds you up only to have you fall harder
happiness makes a fool out of you
reality dissipates
like smoke and wind
anxiety is whisked away
the wind of hope calms you down
by blowing away thoughts to the contrary
hope makes it seem like anything is possible
hope breaks your heart
when they say tomorrow
you say okay and grieve
but when they survive the day and the next
its impossible
to evade hope
like a bubble filling you up
allowing you to smile once more
but when the inevitable happens
when the thing happens that
hope made you never expect
you burst and hope floats away
leaving you as quickley as it came
hope is there when you dont need it
and leaves when its needed most
but its the times of greatest stuggle
the times of greatest sadness
that hope finds its home
and thats why I have hope
I tell myself not to
I tell myself that I don't
I try to except the truth
but Ive been infected
and every time I want to say good bye
I can't because I dont belive its goodbye forever
I hope for a tomorrow
but Im scared to wake up one day and itll be gone
and they'll be gone too.
