I hate having to act.
I wear a fake smile,
And a happy attitude.
I act like nothing is wrong
On the outside, but
On the inside-
Everything is falling apart.
I'm losing myself
I'm losing my mind,
And nobody is here-
To tell me I am fine.

Congratulations on an incredibly powerful and well articulated poem! It cuts to the core! Do you know you are not along in thinking this ? My daughter Francesca Biondi Morra and others are writing on expressing this emotion for your generation...you may want to support each other online.
