Clueless
I don’t understand
I don’t understand, I wake up every morning wondering, wishing and dwelling on when you’ll forgive me.
I don’t understand how we could have drifted so far when I engraved you in my heart.
Then again, they said we’d last forever, but I don’t understand how we lost our river.
I don’t understand why it stopped flowing after every whisper of I love you and the quiver of our lips when they meet.
I don’t understand how I lost you, or was it you that lost me?
Or was it the fact that you believed there was no such thing as forever
Because forever this pain will be, the biggest of them all
The monster of tragedy, the father of hatred
I never understood why you did what you did
All I know is that this grim still exists.
