beat in the street

Walking down this dark grey street
Listening to music and stepping to the beat
The rhythm of the song makes you dance
The gloom of the street never had a chance
With every move you make
And every step you take
Your surroundings seem to change
You look around thinking “well this is strange”
The tap of every toe adds something new
A tiny pulsing that grew and grew
You turn around to see something weird
Or the coolest thing that had ever appeared
The street that was grey at the start
Was now a colorful piece of art
