Wasn't Love
You knew it wasn’t love
because you couldn’t feel
your heart breaking.
It was something bigger than that.
Bigger than all of us.
It was like
when you screamed so loud,
but no one was there to listen
and you wondered if you made any sound at all.
It was like
when you wanted something so badly,
but you became okay with it
and you spent all of your time alone.
It was like
when you felt your heart drop,
but you couldn’t feel your heart breaking
and you knew it wasn’t love at all.
