untitled
disrupt your cadence and conform
to the horrorshow world on which you were born
the stones that they throw
are the things you will need
to survive
there is a long line of waiting that snakes
through all that you're feeling, the pains and the aches
and the rain that will fall
is the only refuge
you'll find
so in the dark, my friend
you'll run your hands, my friend
along the cold bricks of walls that you'll find have no end
and only then, my friend
will you know, my friend
what you're for
so cast aside your courage and conform
to the needles and pins of the world you have worn,
though the sleeves are too short
and the collar
was always too tight
there is a long line of hopeful that snakes
between all the lies and the pains that you take
in the dark, my friend
to finally find some
of the light
