Jagged Crown
Fifteen years of life, all of those without both parents,
People would expect me to be sad,
Yet here I am, smiling everyday,
Despite those around me who try to turn my smile into a frown,
I still stand up and I know one day I'll wear the crown,
Fifteen years and I'm still around,
Because the entire time I've been embraced by cheer,
Leaders that lead me to the waters of wisdom,
At first I take a sip, but then I dive in, for wisdom is power, and right now I feel weak,
If a smile could talk, mine would be silent, because the harbinger will not take pride in his work,
For I will only stand back and admire what I inspired,
An empire of smiles, all filled with people waiting for the day,
The day kindness will be passed around like flyers,
Inspiration spread like wildfires,
Love spread for infinite miles,
No matter how far spread, remember the origin, this smile right here, for one day, I'll wear the crown.
