Being different
In the art gallery every picture is white
wiped clean by the owner who insists they are bright
cleaned and polished until there is no mark in sight
No colour just white, and every canvas the same
because in this art gallery perfect is the aim
and any splash of colour is removed from the frame
One canvas is different, it decides to rebel
adding a splash of colour that drips on the wall aswell
it's out of the frame, ring ring, goes the alarm bell
Instantly the colour is stripped with bleach
drained and sucked out by a leech
destroyed so 'different' is out of reach
Now every picture once again is the same
because in this art gallery perfect is the aim
and any splash of colour is removed from the frame
uniqueness is banned
expression is barred
but most of all different is charred
to a crisp of ash that floats alone.
