Quiet Eyes
Pain.
Not good enough.
Slithering down from my head to my toes,
Ice cold.
A child screaming “let me free”.
Trapped in a world of my own insecurities.
Trapped inside my own being,
and only I can set myself free.
Loud pain concealed in quiet eyes.
Guilt.
Poor children
left to fend for themselves.
Alone.
Abandoned yet helplessly calm.
Killing those who mean the most.
Addiction with no purpose to proceed,
No unwinding what has already been wound.
Loud guilt concealed in quiet eyes.
Stress.
Pressure and standards.
Weighing me down
hitting my breaking point.
Looking up to you,
Looking down on me.
I am a rock in a world of gold,
A guppy in a sea of rainbow fish,
and one person in a world full of billions,
That are:
Better,
Faster,
Stronger.
Loud stress concealed in quiet eyes.
Curiosity.
My mind racing with thoughts of this world.
Brain half full
and but still expanding.
Wonders of the world,
give me hope,
that one day when the world ends
I will know all that I can.
but insecurity is getting the best of me.
So how does one speak when overcome with shyness?
The world may never know me
until I am broken into this world of wonder.
Forever happiness.
Curiosity.
Loud curiosity concealed in quiet eyes.
