Where are you?
Where are you?
You have disappeared,
receding into my imagination,
every moment I'm away,
you fade,
fragmenting,
into my dreams.
Something conjured,
and insubstantial.
Where are you?
You keep my dreams,
my old life and memories,
dragging behind,
abandoned.
Gone but not
forgotten.
Where are you?
I search for your face
in the crowd,
eyes grasping,
for anything familiar.
Alone
in treacherous waters.
Where are you?
I never thought it would be easy,
starting anew,
but I never thought,
that I would be hammered by
unwanted memories
at every turn.
As the memories fade,
the faces disassemble,
until they become a blur,
unrecognizable.
I pursuit you like a vengeful ghost,
chasing you into the darkness,
where are you?
