Only My Nature
Your love that warms me like hot chocolate made from the store box mix that we drink after sledding and throwing snow balls at faces only we can admire.
Your arms that hold me in my darkest hour black as the night that consumes our love from a distance.
Your feet that play with mine- my feet that have walked a thousand miles with yours on adventures that only we can remember.
Your eyes the brightest blue that have pierced my heart like the arrow on the first valentine you gave me as a child.
Your lips that only I know how they passionately kiss, that only I know how they taste, that only I know the sweet intent they have.
I hate it all.
I hate it I hate it I hate every bit of it.
I would love it if I knew it would not end.
Because in the end I will hurt you.
In the end I must hurt you.
It is only my nature, I’m sorry.
I am sorry that by loving you I will hurt you.
