At the Feet of Headless People
At the feet of headless people,
With minds as thick as air,
And bodies as clean as porcelain.
Their blind eyes stare blankly,
At the bright, colorful world.
Their empty hands reach out,
For objects only money can buy.
We sit on their pedestals,
Smell their strong perfumes,
And watch their materialistic life,
Only wishing we could leave.
