Crash and Run
Crash
A splash of red
A bed of noise
The moist soil
The oil spill
Then all went blank
A spank in the brain
An insane being
Not seeing a soul.
And the hole in the ground
Tears, shouts, weeps
Beeps of police cars to the rescue
As if on cue, people poured down
The town lights up with alarms
As arms gather around the body
A car speeds away
Where the body lays, it runs off
Soft soil slows it not
Before caught by anyone near
Holding dear to one’s life
After taking away another.
